Carrie Hoover was born in Houston, Texas and grew up in the Houston and Beaumont area.. She attained her real estate license in the State of Texas in 1976 while attending college. Prior to being licensed, she worked as a residential leasing agent in Houston and later moved to San Antonio where she continued in the multi-family industry. She knew real estate would be her career and advanced quickly as an on-site residential property manager and moved to El Paso to lease up and manage a new luxury apartment complex for a company in Dallas, Texas.
She received the CAM designation, Certified Apartment Manager in 1979 from the National Apartment Association and the CPM designation, as a Certified Property Manager in 1981 from the Institute of Real Estate Management. During her tenure as a Resident Manager, she received an award as Manager of the year in 1979 from the El Paso Apartment Association. Carrie spent seven years as an Onsite Resident Manager, and became a District Manager overseeing apartment communities, office buildings and retail centers Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. She was responsible for the take over of a number of properties acquired by partnerships or management contracts, was involved in construction, prepared punch lists, inspections, lease up for permanent financing and rehabilitation of properties and has worked for two of the largest real estate corporations in the country. After over twenty years in the property management arena, she ventured into residential real estate sales and maintains a consistent status as a Multi-Million Dollar Producer. She has been involved in the real estate industry since 1970 and brings with her many years of expertise and knowledge.
Included in her time managing residential properties in a resort area, she decorated a number of properties for clients, orchestrating all aspects of make ready, painting and preparation for the short term rental market. After the devastation of Hurricane Ike in Galveston, Texas, she helped remediate several homes to their original condition. Because of her attention to detail, Carrie is well suited in the real estate profession. Most recently, she joined the largest independently owned real estate company in Houston, Texas and developed a Short Term Vacation Rental Division in Galveston, Texas. After spending almost 2 years helping develop and manage the division, she moved back to El Paso, Texas in June of 2018 and is busy working in residential and commercial real estate in her own company, Tierra Southwest Real Estate LLC, which was formed in 1982. During her absence, her company thrived and remains a successful boutique real estate company in El Paso.
She has a proven track record and a solid reputation. Patience, knowledge and a high level of integrity reflect her professionalism and reflect her commitment . She has developed many long term business relationships and friendships over the years and prides herself in the trust earned by her clients. She has strong organizational skills, has the ability to handle many tasks at once and knows the real estate industry from every viewpoint; the Buyer's, the Seller's and the Agent's.
Carrie is happily married to her husband of 42 years, they have a son, two daughters and seven grandchildren. In her free time they love to go to Galveston where she has spent her whole life vacationing on the island. Carrie loves being with family, playing tennis, enjoys gourmet cooking, playing Mahjong and loves to fish, crab and kayak. One of her biggest passions is her involvement with animal rescues. She has been instrumental in contributing her time and money to local and national rescues, in addition to being a great help in finding homes for animals. She has three rescues herself and adores animals.
