GEPAR Board Brief: October 30, 2026
El Paso, TX – November 2, 2026 – The Greater El Paso Association of REALTORS® (GEPAR) Board of Directors met on Friday, October 30, 2026, to review Association business, discuss important MLS updates, highlight upcoming community events, and address key issues impacting the real estate industry and the El Paso community.
The meeting began with a review of the previous meeting's minutes and the Association's monthly financial reports. Membership activity was also discussed, with 45 new members joining GEPAR in September, while 37 memberships were dropped, resulting in a net increase of eight members.
MLS Updates: Promoting Transparency in Real Estate
Ashley Wright, 2026 MLS President, provided updates on MLS operations, including Auto Assist+ and an important requirement regarding digitally altered listing photographs.
To promote transparency and ensure consumers have an accurate understanding of properties, MLS listings featuring digitally altered images must include the wording "Digitally Altered" either as a watermark on the image or within the MLS listing description.
This requirement is intended to help REALTORS® maintain transparency with buyers and sellers as digital editing and virtual staging technologies become increasingly common in real estate marketing.
Governmental Affairs: The Importance of the November 3rd Election

During the discussion, GEPAR's endorsements in several local races were highlighted, including:
City of El Paso Representative
- District 1 – Alejandra Chavez
- District 5 – Ivan Nino
- District 6 – Art Fierro
El Paso County Commissioner
- Precinct 2 – Matt Sistrunk
- Precinct 4 – Annette Griego
El Paso County Judge
- Ricardo Samaniego
The discussion emphasized the importance of civic participation and staying informed about local decisions that may impact property ownership, housing, and the future of El Paso.
Community Involvement: Upcoming Veterans Car Show
Sergio Dorador, Equal Opportunity Committee Chair, shared details about the upcoming Salute to Our Veterans Car Show, scheduled for Sunday, November 15, 2026, at 1071 Country Club Rd., El Paso, TX.
The upcoming event will bring the community together to recognize and celebrate our veterans while providing an opportunity for GEPAR members and the public to participate in a special community gathering.
A Halloween Surprise: Too Many Tonys!
While the meeting covered plenty of important Association business, GEPAR staff made sure to bring a little Halloween spirit to the Boardroom!

In a fun and unexpected surprise, GEPAR staff dressed up as Tony Delgado, GEPAR CEO/AE, creating a room full of "Tonys" for the October Board meeting!
The lighthearted costumes brought plenty of laughter and smiles, adding a memorable touch to the day's discussions. With so many Tony Delgados in attendance, it was certainly a Board meeting unlike any other!
Looking Ahead
The October Board of Directors meeting reflected GEPAR's continued commitment to supporting its members, promoting transparency in real estate, encouraging civic engagement, and strengthening community involvement.
From important MLS discussions and membership updates to upcoming community events, the Board remains focused on addressing the needs of the Association and the REALTORS® it serves.
And while there may have been a few extra "Tonys" in the room, there was no shortage of dedication to GEPAR's future!
